Our Little Rembrandts

As of late, Sophia's favorite activity is painting.  Brother likes to get in on the action for a short amount of time before running off to play in the sand.  By the way, paint makes sand stick to the body.  Other knowledge gained during our "art exploration:"

Painting with toddlers is best done when they have little to no clothing on
Washable paint is indeed washable only if you pre-treat with stain remover (my fav? - OxyClean)
Skin is washable and therefore painting on one another is allowed
As long as you are outside
Really, painting is only allowed outside and at a great distance from the home itself
Bath water will turn a shade of green, or blue, or brown, depending on the day's body art
Giving a title to the artwork is the best part of all....

{This is the beginning of the piece.}

{Little heads bowed in concentration}

 {Time for a cookie break}

{Little artist's hands}

{Every artist needs a wide selection of color}

{Working hard to fill in every white space}

{Putting on the final touches almost an hour after beginning.  When finished, she titled it "America"}
