Luisa - Lazy morning home with Momma.  Her top two teeth in and they are as cute as can be.

37/52

Maybe it was a tad adventuresome, believing I would capture one picture of each of the kiddos every week this year.  But, I'm not going to be too hard on myself.  It would ruin the fun, would it not?

Luisa/Ana Sophia/Vincent- Backyard fun.  Sophia - always a doll in hand.  So much expression in those soulful eyes.  Luisa - learning to love the swing and a swollen lip because learning to crawl and face-planting go hand in hand.  Vincent - you are hitting the ball more and more these days.  So proud of you.

32/52 - iPhone Edition

Vincent  - Feeding the fish on an impromptu family getaway
Luisa - What a lovely dinner date!
Sophia - Her first jacuzzi bubble bath

29/52, 30/52 - Texas Edition

Those two weeks in Texas?  Just what the doctor ordered.....

29/52

Luisa - She's the only thing that would make a Texas sunset any prettier!  This was a beautiful moment on a beautiful morning.
Vincent - Home-made play-doh {Take 2}
Sophia - Should I jump?!?!?

30/52

Sophia- Maybe it's the way she is sitting or the lack of baby fat in her face, for some reason she looks so grown up here.
Vincent - Eyes of admiration as he watches his Uncle Michael play guitar
Luisa - Luisa found Mimi's famous spaghetti sauce irresistible for consumption and painting....

26/52 (iPhone edition)

"A picture of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Food is the theme:

Vincent: Mid-bite at the Arts Market
Ana Sophia: In her favorite dress.  She chose chicken fingers when coconut shrimp, fresh vegetables, and savory crepes where only feet away.  Note to self:  develop her taste buds
Luisa:  She's at the table food stage where about 20% of the finger foods make it to her mouth.  The rest fall between her legs where they crust and harden into cement.  Cleaning up requires muscle and a strong stomach.

23/52, 24/52, 25/52 (iPhone edition)

23/52

Luisa/Ana Sophia - Eating Popsicles with the neighbors.  The month of June has been a rough one for Luisa with teething, growth spurts, and currently a virus.
Vincent - On his 4th birthday.  This is his first attempt to put together a 50 piece puzzle.  The boy knows how to put together puzzles!

24/52

Luisa - Enjoying "real table food" on our picnic
Vincent/Ana Sophia - Nothing captures the essence of summer more than a picnic of Chik-fil-A while barefoot.
25/52

Vincent - Joining his sister in making fruit pizza.
Luisa - Cheerios and baby bows.
Ana Sophia - Summer means staying in your pjs until lunch-time and swinging under the oak tree.  I glimpse in this picture the young lady she will someday become.

Summer is passing quickly here in Florida.  We are staying busy but not overscheduled.  I am trying to embrace the summer but having all three kiddos all day long can be overwhelming.  When the house is a wreck with toys scattered everywhere, when dinner is late on the table or just a bowl of oatmeal, when the kids are rough-housing and rowdy, I remind myself that this is the last summer before my eldest is off to school.  This is the summer to spend on the floor engaging.  This is the summer to speak affirmation more often than usual.  For soon she will be surrounded with a host of influence beyond my reach.  It is a discipline to lay down the housework and get on the floor to play or curl up in the rocker to read books.  For me, it doesn't come naturally.  Just one of many ways motherhood stretches me.

I Instagram more than I blog these days.  If you are an Instagram user find me at Username morlandt1201.  Also, I found a great photo editing app called Afterlight.  You should check it out.  It has several unique filters and is worth the cheap buying price.

22/52

"A picture of my children, once a week, every week in 2013."

Luisa - Early morning play in the laundry basket, after the breakfast that stains her onesie.  I sat beside her, coffee in hand realizing it doesn't take much to make happiness - just a laundry basket, a few toys, and creamer in coffee.
Vincent - Those eyes.  That freckle.  I love him so.
Ana Sophia - All attitude in this picture.  In her pjs, trying to be so grown up.

Luisa - First time in the back carrying position of the Ergo.  Still a little too small, only her eyes peeked out.
Vincent - At the Art's Market by the St. John's River
Ana Sophia - Wearing her monkey backpack and exploring all the market had to offer.

Vincent - "Superhero V" was the name of the game on his 4th birthday party.
Ana Sophia - Ready to save the day
Luisa - Afterlight pic from earlier in the week when we visited the beach with Jean Jean.  the squishy cheeks - oh my!

19/52

"A picture of my children, once a week, every week in 2013."

Luisa  - A Mother's Day Picnic with her skin so fair.  It reminds me of Heavy Whipping Cream or 1/2 and 1/2.
Vincent  - Please don't think me cruel, but I had to capture the fickleness which is childhood.  Seconds before he was full of glee on the playground.  Called in for lunch, his mood swiftly changed.
Ana Sophia - We worked hard on our fairy village.  Peanut shells, beads, pinecones, Spanish Moss, so many found treasures.

18/52 and We're Under Construction....

"A picture of my children, once a week, every week in 2013."

Vincent - Enjoying imaginary play with our awesome neighbors.  They were dinosaurs on this day.
Sophia - Holding the "dinosaur eggs."
Luisa - Basking in the sun amongst all the commotion.

Have you noticed a few changes to our blog?  I am attempting a self-done blog makeover.

Participating in Project 52 opened my eyes to so many beautiful photography blogs.  I began to admire those blogs with clean lines and simple templates.  The simplicity of blog design made their pictures pop off the screen.  In the process of customizing the main template I am also learning how to make my pictures larger by piecing together information from here and here

I will work on a new blog banner once I call Adobe to walk me through reinstalling Photoshop.  Once that seemingly overwhelming task is complete, I might buy a few digital kits here.  Are they not beautiful?!?!

So, if you visit our blog in the coming weeks please ignore the dust.  We are under construction....
