Back to School

Sophia started Mother's Day Out today.  She will attend every Tuesday, Thursday for the month of August and every Thursday for the remainder of the year (on Tuesdays she will be attending Bible Study Fellowship with Vincent and mommy.)

We started the morning off with a little mother - daughter date to Demetris for breakfast.  We ordered a few eggs for protein and crunchy french toast for pure, gastronomic goodness.  Seriously, the french toast is phenomenal.  Sophia should have a propensity for this dish as I ate it at least once a week during her last trimester.

{Serious contemplation of a new school year and the need for a haircut.}

When we arrived at school who should pull in beside us?  The Hoppers!  Sophia was delighted but quite disappointed when she discovered that Lawson was in a different classroom.

{Now these are some serious happy campers!}

{"Hey do you want to go out for some milk and cookies after school?"}

{Kisses bye-bye}

{Sporting the new backpack and matching lunchbox}

If insistence on returning to school tomorrow is an indication of success then we had a great first day!

Love the backpack and lunch box. I'm trying to pick one out for Jake. He starts in September.

Wow...she looks so grown up! How cute...remember all of those first day of school pics by the mailbox? Come to think of it...why by the mailbox?

Lovin' it! Super cuteness on the matching bags ;o). By the way, my best friend from when I lived in Montgomery goes to Brook Hills in B'ham.
