{30 weeks!!!}
My body's been stretching lately. My skin stretching tight over an ever-expanding shield, the haven which we call "womb." Inside she stretches too - arms and legs stretching and kicking from within.
Soon she will stretch to the womb's limit and she will be packed in tight. Then the fall months will roll around and she will greet the world with one powerful stretch of limb and body. She will reach out into a world with enough room to grow, stretch, become, and be. May she know this freedom and never be packed in too tight again. May she be surrounded by those who allow for the stretching of her creativity, her intellect, her sense of self. May they never box her in but rather give her room to be what she was created to be - God's own sweet daughter - stretching every muscle, every synapses, to fully live in the space she has been given. Never again to be packed in too tight.
