Metaphors


From the archives of my mommy notebook:

Sophia{At the dinner table, October 2010}  "Mommy, you are sweet as jello."

Daddy:  {In Sophia's bedroom later that night} "Sophia, I think YOU are as sweet as jello."

Sophia:  {While smiling}  "No, I'm not.  I'm mean.  I'm mean like soup."

Daddy:  "Why is soup mean Sophia?"

Sophia:  "Because it's hot and it has vegetables."

That darling little girl reminds me SO much of the goofy little Tony we met in third (or so?) grade.
