And the Academy Award Goes to.....

In case you missed the latest press release, Ana Sophia has been nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her spirited portrayal of the eldest sibling in "Turf Wars."  Read further for a sample of Ana Sophia's flare for drama.

{Mother of the home is in the bathroom applying make-up.  Children, Ana Sophia and Vincent are found in the kitchen sharing yogurt raisins from a plastic container.  Toddler brother snatches container away.  Eldest sibling, Ana Sophia runs to master bedroom, flinging herself across the bed.  Mother continues applying eye shadow with one eye on mirror, one eye on children, as only a mother can do.}

Ana Sophia: {Wild weeping and cries of distress}

Mother:  {Slightly pauses in applying eye make-up, evaluates weeping for signs of blood or bodily injury, and mutters to self}  "Nope.  Definitely fake crying." {Resumes applying make-up}

Ana Sophia: {Continues with wild fake crying but eventually stops when it does not produce desired effect.  Walks into bathroom to resume fake crying in front of mother.}

Mother:  "What is it Sophia?  Why are you crying?"

Ana Sophia:  "I was crying in your bed because brother broke my hope."

I'm not sure if Sophia will be in the movies someday but I do know the girl can communicate internal angst like no other.  "Brother broke my hope."  :)

On a related note, we recently took Sophia to see her first movie in the movie theatre.  She was glued to her chair for the majority of the movie, "Tangled" and ate all her popcorn before the movie even started.  It was a "Sophia only" date so Vincent stayed behind with Jean Jean.  After the movie ended we went out to eat at a "big person's restaurant" which meant there were no playscapes and the food arrived on real plates, not in cardboard boxes or red plastic baskets.  She was aglow with all the attention.  Here are a few pictures of our special evening.
