Little Miss Personality

Two weeks ago Sophia picked up her first purse. And the shocking thing to me was that she immediately placed the it over her shoulder. It just shows that little babies are watching and learning all the time.

Sophia has decided that it is not enough just to eat off her tray. She wants not only the food but the bowl, plate, and utensil too. Of course we fight her on this because she doesn't have the manual dexterity yet to use utensils. Well on this particular night we just didn't have the energy. And how is she supposed to learn if she doesn't try, right? So we got rid of everything but the diaper and the bow (of course) and let her go to town with her spaghetti. Would you expect anything less from a little Italian baby?!?

And finally a story without pictures. Awhile back we went to the library where Sophia toddled around playing with the standing toy table, looking at the fish, and playing with the puzzles. Across the room were two precious twins about 6 months old. I was chatting with the mother, watching Sophia make her way over to the twins' stroller. Oh how sweet, I thought. She's going to say hello. I smiled, kept my seat, and continued to chat with the mom while keeping my eyes on the Dophle. She made it over to the stroller and before I could stop her she plucked out the little baby's pacifier, stuck it in her mouth, and took off in the opposite direction. The poor baby was shocked. As was Sophia's mother! What can I say, the baby knows what she wants!

Ana Sophia will be one year next week! Everyday she is less like a little baby and more like a toddler. More updates to follow!
