Vacation!

Tony is finally off for vacation -- 10 days together! It has been nearly six months since we moved here and he started residency in June. Since then, his weeks have averaged 100+ hours at the hospital, with many nights apart for us. In the past two days it's been like having my best friend back at home -- we've been busy with some really important projects...watching "24" (these actually belong to Marshall and Laura -- thanks for the "extended" loan!), eating Thanksgiving desserts, and lots of baby things like baths and changings. Tony got to feed Sophie her first bottle today -- it worked like a dream! She didn't fuss a bit and ate almost 2 oz. of milk. I think this will really help at nights -- Tony and I can trade off and we can both get a little more sleep.

Bathtime for the little pumpkin

We just took a walk down to the neighborhood coffee shop for lunch. The leaves are falling here, and there are jillions of beautiful scarlet and flame-colored trees lining the streets. This is an awesome neighborhood...maybe even TOO all-American at times. Sometimes I feel like we live in the 1950s, in a perfect little Southern neighborhood. Tony keeps calling our neighborhood the Twilight Zone!
