The invitation. Sophia painted large paper with pumpkin colors. I cut out individual pieces and mounted them to cardstock, adding the pumpkin and information on the back.
The spread: Fruit Salad with Breakfast Casserole (recipe from my friend Laura) with Lemonade and Apple Cider. Oh, and quite a few candy corn pieces too...
Iced cookies served as favors.
Let's get down to business. Time to carve pumpkins!
We put the leftover bird feeders from Sophia's 1st birthday to good use, breaking out the peanut butter and birdseed, creating a feast for our birdie friends.
Bubbles and sidewalk chalk was a must. And for the adventurous, a little bike riding.
You might notice some familiar faces through the last three years of Sophia's life. These people were at all three of Sophia's birthday parties. It's so neat to watch their families grow along with ours.
Cake time! Sophia talked about this moment for days leading up to the party. She was so excited about her cake and blowing the candles out.
Time for presents:
As our friends began their trek home, those ordinary pumpkins paraded out of the park as proud, creative jack-o-lanterns! We loved every minute on this beautiful Saturday morning, celebrating with the wonderful friends God has brought into our lives.
