I've wanted to post for some time about Ana Sophia's beautiful hand-knit sweaters. Her Mama Jean has always been a knitter but since moving to Birmingham she has become a master at her craft! It all began with the pink and brown "surprise sweater." A difficult pattern that Mama Jean mastered. She added the doggie buttons and Sophia wore it through-out the fall and winter. Then came the turquoise sweater with pink and brown buttons. This is for later use (probably when Sophia is 3-4 years old). And finally, the white sweater made for Easter. Actually, it is a little big and will work for next Easter too. This sweater is especially meaningful because the body of the sweater was knitted by Mama Jean and the top of the sweater was crocheted by Sophia's great-grandmother, Grandmother Lillie.

I can't wait for you to see the blanket Mama Jean knitted for baby Vincent! It will be in his newborn pictures for sure!
